THE MACHIYA HANAREA traditional Japanese machiya villa just a few steps from Takayama Old Town
Located along the banks of the Miyagawa River, in an area known for its charming and picturesque historical streets, is our renovated, private machiya villa.
This traditional Japanese villa (holiday house) features a kitchen, luxurious bathroom, 2 bedrooms, and a calming view of the Miyagawa River.
Stay at THE MACHIYA HANARE private villa and experience the traditions of Takayama city, Japan.
Children 5 years of age and under, who do not require bedding, may stay free of charge (when sharing a bed with an adult).
If a child requires a separate bedding, they will be considered as one (1) additional adult guest. In this case, please include the child in the total number of ‘adults per room’ when making your reservation (they will be charged as an adult).
Wake up every morning to a spectacular view of the Miyagawa River. Use the kitchen to prepare light meals with local produce picked up from the Miyagawa Morning Market. Instead of a typical Japanese 'onsen' hot spring, relax your mind, body and soul in a fragrant hinoki wood bath in the privacy of this traditional machiya villa.
In the evenings, wind down in the Japanese-style room that features a folding screen art and bamboo light fixtures, or in the Western-style bedroom with a large, king-sized bed in a calming atmosphere.
Reserve this entire private machiya villa, which has been comfortably renovated while retaining its traditional atmosphere, and experience the nature and rich culture of Hida Takayama city.
Luxurious bath made with local Hida Takayama cypress
Takayama’s hinoki (Japanese cypress) has been famous since ancient times for its high-quality timber, fragrant aroma and beautiful grain, and we have specially designed this bath with Takayama's locally-grown hinoki wood. To make your even more luxurious, we've prepared "Masu Bath Salts," bath salts that have been infused with the aroma of hinoki cypress. In addition to bathroom, an additional shower room and toilet can be found on the 2F, perfect for larger groups of family and friends. Bath & Face Towel / Bath Amenities
