Kiyomizu Temple is known for its main hall and three-story pagoda on the "Kiyomizu-no-butai" (stage of Kiyomizu). Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this temple was founded approximately 1,200 years ago. The main hall overlooking the city of Kyoto is a popular spot for visitors to experience the four seasons of Kyoto, including cherry blossoms and autumn leaves. On the way to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ninen-zaka and Sannen-zaka, lined with machiya (traditional townhouses), which is quintessential of Kyoto city.

The Gion area is home to many historic shrines and temples, including Yasaka Shrine, famous for the Gion Matsuri Festival, and Kenninji Temple, where you can experience the beauty of Japan through its many gardens. This historical museum opened in 1897. The museum exhibits cultural assets mainly from the culture of Kyoto from the Heian period to the Edo period, and special exhibitions showcase masterpieces from Japanese history. Just across the street from the Kyoto National Museum is the Sanjusangendo Temple, which holds the National Treasure, the Standing Statue of the Thousand-Armed Kannon, allowing visitors to take their time to appreciate Kyoto's history and culture.
