Just a short walk from the train station, this holiday house features all of the quintessential elements of a Kyoto-style machiya house – from ‘kawara’ roof tiles, ‘koshi’ wood lattice windows, a lush inner garden to exposed wooden beams stretching across the ceiling. Converse and relax with family & friends as you prepare light meals in the renovated, open kitchen. Admire the ‘tsuboniwa’ garden from the dining room or as you are soaking in the luxurious bathtub. In addition to the master bathroom on the 1F, this machiya house features 2 additional shower rooms and toilets on the 2F, one for each bedroom. This is perfect if you are planning on staying at ‘Mizunoha’ machiya house with larger groups of family and friends. Rejuvenate with our custom bath amenities: shampoo, conditioner and body soap.
Sleep comfortably in one of 2 western-style bedrooms. The bright & airy bedroom with white walls includes 2 single-size beds, a desk, and an ensuite shower room with toilet. The second bedroom showcases earthen walls, dark wood features, seating area, and an ensuite shower room with toilet. Up to 4 guests can stay in this room to share 2 double-size beds. Each bedroom is also fitted with blackout blinds to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep.
A classic Japanese room with tatami mats and a ‘tokonoma’ alcove on the 1F. You can use this room to store your belongings or lay down & relax comfortably on the tatami mats. If you’d like to fully experience the Japanese lifestyle, up to 2 futon beddings can be set in this room.
